I was born and raised in a very small traditional town in Pennsylvania. Being a shy, bashful little girl with a blend of determination, and righteousness, I was the perfect fit for a traditional lifestyle but my destiny wanted something more from me.
Like any other child coming from a divorced family, it wasn’t easy for me. But, I was blessed to have a special bond with my Grandparents. Despite being a big family, they built a strong individual relationship with every one of us. One of my favorite things as a child was spending time with my Grandparents. They instilled high morals and values, backed by humbleness in us, which gave me the right balance I needed.
Growing up, my journey of leaving my hometown and moving to a big city in Ohio was a huge adjustment within itself. This little shy girl had to learn to differentiate between praying and preying people. Many times, I wanted to throw in the towel and thought of returning home but something wouldn’t let me do it, I felt I was here for a purpose.
My Grandmother’s words inspired me to transition from a traditional girl to a feisty determined mother.
“I know you wanna be strong and try something different but if it doesn’t work, just know you always have a home with a family who loves you to come back to.”
She was my strength and always encouraged me in every step of my life.
My life hit another turmoil when I got the news of my grandmother being diagnosed with cancer a second time. This news hit me hard, like no other. It felt as if my life fell apart.
I will not forget my last memory when I visited the hospital with my aunt. We were approaching the door, when I heard my grandmother calling out to nurse with pain, “You are not supposed to inject me in this arm”, which was severely bruised and instructed by the Dr. to use the other arm. The nurse responded to her, “just be quiet and be still”. The nurse was stunned to find us at the door.
My heart sank when my Grandmother told me how she was being mistreated but didn’t want to cause any trouble because God would handle it. My only thoughts were, what can I do to help without going against her wishes and causing an uproar.
“I think Children of Divorced Parents Do Grow Up Quicker. You Just Do.”
Birth of MPORESS Home Care

As our loved one’s age, I contemplate their struggle of growing older with the childhood challenges we face as kids. I found that the challenges of a child and loved ones getting older are similar. They both need somebody to nurture, care for, and love them like a family just like when I was a child. I received attention from my grandparents so I might not make any mistake and harm myself. They always took care of me.
It was excruciating and an inexplicable feeling of helplessness when I witnessed a series of such incidents where my grandmother faced such abuse by health practitioners. This feeling kindled a strength and passion in me to help others, especially those suffering from abuse, that never seemed to go away. Only, I didn’t know the steps nor procedures to take in the medical field to become an active voice.
The passion for giving back to the community and helping others found an outlet when I met another family who shared the same values. Together, we co-founded the Cleveland Brew Crew – a non-profit organization where 100% of the proceeds go towards nurturing homeless people by providing them fresh home-cooked meals and clothing.
It wasn’t until 2019, while I was visiting home during Thanksgiving break, that my cousin began talking about her non-medical Homecare success. The conversation instantly retriggered my thoughts of my Grandmother and the challenges she faced in the hospital. I wanted to do something to make a change so the elderly can age in a place with respect and dignity. I learned the ins and outs of the non-medical Home Care Industry and finally;
By February 2020, MPORESS Home Care was established and credentialed to make a change for the better in caring for people in need. My Passion to justly and humbly service others has become my purpose with MPORESS Home Care in loving memory of my Grandparents
